Careers & Networking

Old Caterhamians and current pupils alike benefit from the reach and expertise of our global Old Cat community.

If you are an Old Caterhamian who is willing to share your experience of business or professional life to help current pupils and OCs, please let us know. We are rapidly building a network for all members of our community to support career development. This is underpinned by Caterham Connected, our online networking platform offering our whole school community a professional and social network.

Careers Support

OCs have successfully worked with the School’s Careers Department to support multi-sector careers fayres and smaller profession-focused events. If you are interested in coming to speak to current pupils please get in touch, email oldcats@caterhamschool.co.uk.

Mentoring Scheme

Our global community means that we hold contacts across all professions from graduate to senior leadership. We are always grateful to the many OCs keen to support others at different levels with careers advice, mentoring and additional contacts. If you would like to get involved in, and benefit from, mentoring – do check out Caterham Connected, an invaluable professional resource.

Open to the Caterham School community of OCs, pupils, parents and friends of the School, Insight Evenings offer a great opportunity to network with those working in your industry or profession in addition to hearing insights from industry experts.

Our first highly successful launch Insight Evening saw world-leading Type 1 Diabetes and T Cell research expert Dr Tim Tree, talk about his cutting edge research and recent developments to an audience of OCs from pharmaceuticals, medicine and research, in addition to young OCs at university and current pupils hoping to pursue careers in medicine.

During the pandemic we ran these Insight Evenings as webinars, some of these were recorded – click here to view recordings.
