Over 60’s Summer Lunch 2026

The history and traditions of Caterham School were vividly brought to life at the OCA’s Over 60s Summer Reunion, as Old Caterhamians shared their memories and experiences with First Year pupils.

Guests enjoyed a nostalgic lunch in the former Dining Hall, now Wilberforce Hall, before taking tours around the School. It was a pleasure to hear stories from Old Cats reflecting on their time at Caterham, including memories of boarding in Mottrams and Beech Hanger, and lessons in Shirley Goss. For many, it was their first visit back to the School in years, and they were delighted to see the impressive developments and new facilities added over recent decades.

During afternoon tea, pupils were captivated by tales of former teachers, memorable lessons, school pranks and everyday life at Caterham in years gone by. The reunion offered a valuable opportunity for current pupils to share their own experiences and provide visitors with an insight into modern academic and co-curricular life at the School.

Returning to the School grounds sparked many fond memories for the OCs, while giving current pupils a unique first-hand glimpse into Caterham’s rich history and traditions.

Thank you to all the OCs who joined us for such a special occasion.
