This year we managed to avoid clashing with Speech Day only to pick the Saturday of The Ashes, The Open and more Stags/Hens/Weddings than you could shake a stick at! As the day approached the weather forecast then turned very wet and we were left with a rather reduced turnout. Anyway 18 holes were played in great spirits at the ever more impressive The Addington with Joe Downard a worthy winner scoring 38 points. We were joined by new member Andrew Palmer who plays at Tandridge and has not played the course before and was very complimentary. Our Autumn Meeting is at Hindhead on 7 September.
