It was a pleasure to host the Cricketer Trophy this year at Hillfields.

MATCH REPORT FOR 2023 CRICKETER TROPHY

In the First Round, Old Cats faced Old Hamptonians. On a small pitch, we were put in to field first. We bowled and fielded very well, restricting them to 225-8 off their 50 overs, with wickets shared between Sam Thorpe (3), Chris Bishop (2), Harry McInley (1), Harvey New (1) and Ankush Patel (1). In reply, we never really got going and were eventually bowled out for 142, with only Matt Terry causing bowler’s issues with a score of 73.

The format for the Cricketer Trophy is 50 overs and the games are played on Sundays in the summer.
