From Caterham to the White House
US and Middle East politics expert, and Old Caterhamian, Geoffrey Kemp returned to school to give a fascinating Spring Term CSS Lecture entitled ‘From Caterham to the White House.’
Geoffrey Kemp served as Special Advisor for the Middle East at the White House during the Reagan administration and is now an acclaimed writer and academic, residing in Washington DC. The packed audience were gripped by Geoffrey’s fascinating insight into the major issues in US politics and society, including infrastructure degeneration and the thorny issue of health care. Mr Kemp also outlined the domestic and international view on the Trump presidency before casting an eye forward to the 2020 elections.
The Q&A session which followed brought forth so many fascinating questions and responses that the evening could have extended through the night.
